Uses: Dilute solutions of 30 to 60% MEKP are used in industry and by hobbyists as the catalyst which initiates the cross-linking of unsaturated polyester resins used in fiberglass, and casting. Because of the high reactivity of MEKP, it is available only as a 40% to 60% solution in dimethyl phthalate or other phthalates.
